For me, it was the French toast that made me weak at the knees - the sweet dish was accompanied by a side scoop of salted caramel sauce, a smothering of raspberry compote & a scattering of roasted almonds. If you're on the hunt for a breakfast that'll 1000% slip you into an incredibly delightful food coma, then I think you may have found your heavenly match.
.. you also don't feel obliged to order a gallon of coffee in order to use the WiFi for a couple of hours.

As I'm a big sucker for all things cake, I knew the only slab that was landing on my plate was the deliciously fresh, light & creamy carrot cake that complimented a steamy flat white PERFECTLY. Their serving style being the shabby/ cottage chic style trays, with not a china plate in sight - one of my guilty aesthetic pleasures. The more you order, the bigger the tray.. lovely jubbly.

Cafe ArtySana.
I'm pretty sure I should be a nabbed as a rep' for this hidden gem, Cafe ArtySana. Let's just say that €10 will get you a hefty, plentiful platter of delights! Cafe ArtySana offer a set brunching menu that will deliver a sweetly satisfying selection for each of the following; a refreshment (from Mimosas to OJ), a starter (from yoghurt pots to a mini fruit salad), a toast dish (from salmon & avocado to natural yoghurt & honey), a pastry (from tarts to cakes) & finally a caffeinated beverage.
The cafe itself thrives off of a quirky, mismatch theme that'll make you feel welcome & ready to indulge. There are also mini events, such as open mic, that pop up throughout the year, nestled within the corner of the room to create that nostalgic Central Perk vibe.

La Mas Bonita - Patacona.
Sneaking down to the sandy shores of Alboraya! Let me introduce you to every cake cravers haven, La Mas Bonitas. This dreamy digs it something out of a Tim Burton movie, with the most epic cakes iced beyond your wildest dreams & food colouring that defies logic. Although they dabble in both the sponge & brunching realms, I have to say that Bonitas sticks out as a champ for me purely because of its red velvet creation. However, in terms of brunch; we've got ourselves a pretty strong contender.
This culinary dark horse has a wide variety to choose from that'll tickle tastebuds, from doughy delights to creamy scramble, grilled sarnies to chockablock clustered cereal bowls - you won't be short of choice. Plus with the beach right on its doorstep, it's a no brainer to pop by for the best of both worlds!
