I'm Back!

I'm back from the land of the USA, back on home soil and back to the working retail life, which is a rude awakening from the glorious sunny life I was living in the States! I'm literally gutted to be back and am scrambling every bit of spare money I have to hopefully save up for another ticket back as quickly as possible. More on that later, but first my outfit of the day post! For this look I wore my Topshop MOM jeans in a dark denim, hoisted up with a Primark belt (the one I wear with every outfit pretty much). Tucked in is my All Saints beige and white striped tank top, which has a high sitting neckline that I think is super flattering on the shoulders and the material drapes down the back to create a slightly oversized finish. On my feet are my faux Birkenstock's from Primark, that I've posted about a LOT overthe past year. Seriously can not think of a comfier pair of sandals to slip on with any outfit! Finishing off the look is one of my all time favourite lipsticks, M…

Music Icon Inspiration

This is a little bit of a twist on my usual outfit of the day posts over on my blog, as I've teamed up with Farfetch for the launch of their partnership with Apple Music to celebrate two new Farfetch playlists. For a little bit of a quirk and in honor of one of my all time favorite artists I've created a look inspired by the one and only Gwen Stefani as I believe she has an original and unique style that has followed her from her No Doubt days right through to her solo success. I thought it would be fun to recreate one of her more edgy looks and go for the high waisted striped culottes from Topshop, paired with a white crochet bikini from Primark. As I'm on vacation over in the beautiful state of Florida I thought I could flaunt a little bit more flesh than I usually would over in the UK, which is why you can spot my horrific tan lines from a mile off!
This is also the reason that Hess photos aren't the best quality as they've been taken on an iPhone, transported via …

Little Summery Dress

Adding a bit of a girly theme for today's outfit as I felt it had been a while since I flung on a Summery dress. This ones from Primark and I love that it's a light weight fabric with a simple monochrome pattern, which I've mentioned in my blog before, reminds me of a 90's piece. This time I decided to add a belt around my waist to add a little shape to the dress and of course a little accessorizing is always a bonus. Pretty much this whole outfit- minus the shoes is Primark so probably cost around £10 all together? Bit of a bargain if you ask me! I really want to stock my wardrobe up with simple dresses like this that can be altered with a little accessorizing as they're so effortless and are perfect for the Summery weather when it feels too hot and unbearable to wear clothes. .. Of course I wouldn't suggest not wearing clothes around town but when you just need something light and airy then head in the direction of a shift dress. My cross over strap sliders are cou…

Pleather & Stripes

I'm sick of having to cover up my pale old legs because we are having such a rubbish Summer so I'm determined more than ever to whack those pins out at every possibility! That's why I've dragged out and dusted off my pleather black skirt from Primark that I thought would pair up rather nicely with my Newlook white and navy striped body.  The shift style of my skirt creates a really flattering curve on my hips and across my waist, pulling everything in and enhancing my bodies natural curves. The striped pattern also helps create a slimming illusion across the waist and really emphasizes the curves (in all the right places) once again, especially on the bust! I've then thrown over my Miss Guided burgundy light weight jacket, which is perfect for the Summer, when we finally get the hotter days.. or should I say if? On my feet are another throwback in the form of my cross over white strapped slidders from Topshop. I remember being inseparable from them last year as they were…

Every Season Essentials

For me, I find dungaree's one of the easiest and most versatile pieces I own in my wardrobe and find myself throwing them on whenever I need a quick, simple, every day outfit.  My dungaree's are from Monki, via ASOS and seem to be making an appearance every season thanks to their simplicity when it comes to layering with just about everything. Underneath I have a khaki v-neck camisole, which is from Topshop and although it's a couple of years old I know that Topshop stock similar styles of these cami's every year. They're worth stocking up on as they're so easy to wear for casual days or for a little more dressier evening and bold colour's always work best to brighten up your attire. On my feet are once again my sling back pointed flats from Topshop, another item thats fairly old but I'm recycling for the new Summer season as you can't really go wrong with a simple pair of flats.
