More Denim!

Denim shirt dresses seemed to be all the rage back in the Summer but I wanted to bring mine with me to the cold/bitter weather we're now stuck with in January!  My denim shirt dress (.. actually it's a much thinner material but looks like denim) is from Newlook and hasn't had much wear to be honest. I'm not a dressy person but I am trying to experiment a lot more with skirts/dresses in the New Year, shirt dresses seem a good place to start? I thought I'd better pair up some cosy tights from Primark with an added fleece lining that would be a perfect shield for the chilly winds and my black heeled boots from Newlook, just to make my legs look that little bit longer! That teeny, little heels gives my legs the illusion of longer, defined legs- corrr cheers! My coat is the 2 or 3 year old boyfriend style coat from Topshop and both belt and scarf and good old Primark. I wanted to add a chunky, bold belt to my outfit to break up my dress and also define my waist a little. It…

They're Back; Cigarette Trousers

I found myself wearing a lot of Topshop in my most recent outfit of the day posts, which is probably because of the many knitted pieces, accessories and coats that I've collected over the past couple of years are now resurfacing in the colder weather. I dug out my Forever 21 smart cigarette trousers in a deep grey colour that I paired up with my newest knitwear addition, a Topshop camel coloured cropped jumper, which was a much loved Christmas present from my house mate.  I thought this outfit gave off a skater/grunge vibe, which is why I opted for darker coloured accessories including a chunky black belt from Primark. I've also been living in my faux sheep skin coat from Topshop whilst living back home as it's the one coat I know will go with absolutely everything as well as keeping me warm and toasty. On my feet I have my new little gems, the Old Skool Vans that were my Black Friday treat to myself as I decided that it had been a while since spending money on anything but fo…

Faux Fur & Denim

If you've read a few posts back on my blog you'll know that I recently splurged out on a faux fur gilet from Topshop as one of my birthday treats. As I bought this one in Durham during the panto tour I wasn't able to play around with the different styles of how I could wear this gorgeous piece, which is why I'm now able to filter through my wardrobe and find what works best. I paired my gilet up with my ASOS acid wash denim shirt that I always seem to bring into my outfit of the day posts. I felt this added a laid back edge to my outfit as faux fur can sometimes slip into the formal, dressy category, which isn't really me at all. I then wore my Joni ripped jeans from Topshop as well as my brand spanking new Topshop boots tat I've completely fallen head over heels in love with! I've never treated myself to such a smart looking pair of boots before and thought with a voucher I got for my birthday it would be a perfect opportunity to purchase a posh looking pair. …

Winter Dungaree's

We've hit the road again for the last stint of the tour down in Cornwall, which means my blogging is rather limited and I can only provide you with my last remainders on my memory card as I'm the worst at organisation. I thought I'd dust off my dungaree's, which haven't seen daylight since September when we were still blessed with the warm sunny weather! To prepare my dungaree's for the colder weather I opted for a black long sleeved top from Topshop that fitted nicely underneath, creating my much loved layering effect and of course warmth. My dungaree's are from Monki (via ASOS) and were a sale gem! I believe they were £25 at the time? I then wrapped up with a bluey/red tartan scarf from the Newlook sale, which was a real bargain at £3, therefore irresistible for my ever growing scarf collection, which is getting a little out of hand. On my feet are my trusty Newlook black heeled boots, which I've bought along with me to Cornwall as I love a good old chun…

Hello 2016!

Thought I'd start the New Year with a tacky pair of '2016' glasses and some fancy firework writing, courtesy of Snapchat. I hope you had a fabulous New Year's Eve what ever you may have gotten up to! We ended the night with tea and cake.. ridiculously British and tame.  I've also posted a photo of my NYE outfit underneath as I had a serious case of 60's vibes buzzin' from my attire. My playsuit is from Topshop a couple of years ago and is part of the concession brand, Rare. I then layered underneath a high neck green, white and black patterned top, which was also long sleeved, perfect for the rain storm brewing outside! I then wore my black Newlook heeled boots and somehow braved the cold with bare legs.. oh errrr. Dark, smokey eye make up for once, which made a lovely change and added a little drama to the night, if that even makes sense?!

Enjoy the rest of your evening/day whilst nursing those rather sore heads! Stock up on the snacks, Netflix series and pyja…
