Preppy

Image
This was totally a different look from my usual (well, I think so anyway!). I think it's because I've worn my hair in a style that I wouldn't usually go for and the overall look is quite preppy, which isn't a theme I tend to aim for when choosing outfits. Any how, I still liked the finish and thought I should try new and unusual styles from my comfort zone such as how I wear my hair (rather than the classic pony tail and bun) and branching out with my lipstick collection to discover some new shades. My jacket is from New Look and is a faux suede material, which gives it a high quality finish that makes it look so, so much more expensive than it actually was. I believe it was around £35?! Underneath I have a long sleeved, high neck top from Zara that has very faint striped detailing to it. I then have my good old black Joni's from Topshop, my essential jeans that I wear whenever and wherever! Super comfy and a perfect fit for my figure! On my feet are my Select Fashion …

Tassel Obsessed

Image
How Autumnal did these photo's turn out?! I wasn't too sure on the lighting at first but after a quick adjustment on saturation and all that jazz I think they're perfect for celebrating the colour's of Autumn!.. Even if I do say so myself. I'm currently working as an Elf for the Christmas period so keeping up with my blog can be a little tricky, which is why I may go through quiet spells- but do not fret! I shall be making an appearance as often as possible, when I'm not prancing about with bells and all things Christmas. The life of a working class Actress, eh?! Today's outfit is featuring my tassel jeans from Topshop after I spotted them in Lily Melrose's Topshop haul video via YouTube (one of my all time favourite bloggers, FYI!). I thought as I wear jeans like pretty much all the time, why not jazz them up a little bit and what a perfect way than with tassels? I know the embroidery game is strong at the moment but at least these will be a little differe…

Teddy Bear Jacket

Image
Aren't teddy bear jackets just the ultimate? I never used to be a fan as I thought they were a little too chunky and boxy on my figure but my God has that all changed recently! This gorgeous camel colour one is from Miss Guided and I've been mixing it up with so many different outfits as it's just ridiculously cosy and snug for the bitter coldness outside. I believe I got my hands on a 25% off discount code before proceeding to the checkout, which was even more of a reason to purchase this perfect piece. The colour itself is so versatile that you can wear with pretty much any colour palette and easily dress it up or down for different occasions, something that is such a bonus in a jacket/coat.  Underneath is an old school Topshop shirt in a thick flannel material. I believe you can buy something similar to this as it's one of those items that they get in annually? It's slightly oversized and boxy that it's perfect for throwing on with a casual outfit. I've then …

Roll Neck Dream

Image
So once again my little black dog wanted to get in on the action with shooting my blog photo's hence why the first photo exists as I thought it was quite cute! I recently went ridiculously overboard in New Look and spent far too much money on items that I sort of fell in love with.. a lot. One of those items was a beautifully soft, simple and versatile roll neck jumper that is so, so toasty it literally makes you melt in a blanket of comfort and happiness (no joke). I bought mine in a large as there were no other sizes available but I couldn't bare to leave said jumper all alone and took my chances on a bigger size. Personally, I prefer the oversized fit so I was happy either way! I then wore my Topshop Jamie jeans in a faded black colour that have cut off hems (thanks to a pair of scissors and some very steady handy work on my behalf). On my feet are another gem that I found on this New Look splurge! I've been dying to get my hands on a pair of leopard print boots for absolut…

Primark Bargain Boots

Image
I have not worn red lipstick in absolute forever?! It's not a colour I usually go for when deciding through my collection of lip colour's and plus I'm wanting a brand that doesn't leak into all the creases around my mouth, do you know what I mean? This colour I'm wearing in this post is great to apply and for the first hour looks bold and beautiful, however it then bleeds and looks absolutely awful! I came out of a coffee shop looking as though I'd just snogged the waitress..  Anyway, moving on! My shirt is from Primark and is a little large around the arms, but I've recently been buying shirts in a couple of sizes up (as mentioned in my previous post) so I'm happy to make a sacrifice on the sleeves for an oversized fit. My jeans are Topshop's Mom jeans as I thought I'd go for the slightly slouchy approach on my outfit rather than wearing skinny jeans. My boots are also Primark, a gorgeous burgundy faux snake skin print that are super comfy and abl…

Ditsy Floral Shirt

Image
These weren't the best photo's I've taken for my blog but I did love my outfit choice so therefore wanted to publish the post anyhow! I just look ridiculously awkward and I can't work out why? It's not like I've been shoving my camera on a tripod, hitting the timer and running into position for three years or anything? Ah well, my outfit.. I was wearing a ditsy floral shirt from Primark, which has been featured in my blog previously but this time I decided to layer it up with a Miss Guided grey turtle neck top underneath. My shirt is a couple of sizes larger for me as I'm all for an oversized fit rather than anything fitted at the moment, especially when it comes to sweaters, knitwear and shirts. I've then got my trusted Joni's on from Topshop that I swear by, apart from when I go for dinner/lunch/a massive breakfast as they do become a little restricting on the stomach. Good old high waisted, eh?! On my feet are a pair of black heeled boots from New Lo…

The Snuggliest Jumper

Image
This outfit of the day was inspired by the absolutely gorgeous Sammi Maria who is often spotted in striped pieces, that one pattern we all have a special place in our hearts for. I recently purchased a ridiculously soft grey slouchy jumper from Zara and have had to separate myself from it for a short while as I was way too attached, but I thought it worked perfectly over the top of my dress. The dress itself is an old piece from Topshop, however they do usually bring back a similar style each year as it's a pretty basic piece. I've therefore managed to drag it back out of my wardrobe each year as it will always work with current trends and my personal style. Of course I went a bit daring and got the legs back out to brave the cold.. worst decision. I was absolutely frozen so after these photo's were taken I went and dived in for a pair of tights. On my feet are a pair of Chelsea boots from New Look, again another old piece that were bought in a sale a while back. I've then…
