90's Slip Dress

Image
I certainly stepped out of my comfort zone in terms of dresses for this outfit of the day as I usually never opt for a patterned slip dress.. for any occasion but after a spontaneous trip to Primark I thought I'd be a little daring and purchase this bad boy.  I've seen a lot of slip dresses being layered up after my usual stalking sessions on Instagram and have felt so inspired to try different dresses and playsuit's that wouldn't be my first choice. This dress also reminded me of something my Mum would wear in the 90's and I can't help but love it a little bit more just for that. It's an easy pattern and colour to pair with pretty much everything, whether that's under or over other items. Underneath is my Allsaints white cropped t-shirt that I threw on just for extra warmth as we've still not hit the Summer weather just yet, sigh. On my feet are my black Newlook boots that I've been living in a ridiculous amount these past couple of months, so much…

Suedette Bombers

Image
If you read my last post you'll know that I have a rather huge obsession with suedette at the moment and am therefore splurging out on new pieces for my ever growing collection. This time my outfit of the day features my Newlook, slightly oversized bomber jacket that looks and feels wayyyy more expensive that it actually was (£34.99).  I've had many compliments on this jacket and therefore adore it even more each time I wear it! When you have that statement piece that attracts attention and you know is a timeless garment you feel so confident and comfortable parading it around the town. I then wore another Newlook piece in the form of my white and navy striped body that is paired up with my ancient Hayden's from Topshop that I haven't seen since in a little while! I forgot I owned a pair of bleached boyfriend fit jeans.. oops. On my feet are my classic Newlook chunky white trainers, on my lips is my Mac lipstick in the colour 'Dangerous' and finally I have my trust…

Suedette Romance

Image
I recently took a little trip down to Maidstone for a spot of shopping all by myself, which I'm finding a really effortless and stress free way of getting the few things I need whilst browsing. It means I don't have to worry about where the other person wants to go and waiting around whilst items get tried on time and time again. Basically, I'm being anti-social and selfish.. Oops! Don't get me wrong, I do love a girly shopping trip but it's not the easiest whilst I'm on a budget and slowly approaching pay day.. urgh! Of course I headed straight for Primark and found this suedette a-line skirt with a gold zip and pocket detailing on the front. Suedette is something I'm really falling for at the moment as I've recently just purchased a bomber in the same fabric too (stay tuned for that post!). It's a material that looks super expensive compared to the price it actually sells for, plus it means no animals have been harmed. I then paired up my navy and wh…

90's Stolen Style

Image
For this outfit of the day I was actually inspired by Instagram and one of the many outfit posts that I gorp at on a daily basis. Without fail I always instantly feel a rush of envy for the beauuuutiful clothes and a creative spark for the styling. My loose, swinging style playsuit is from Boohoo and was actually a purchase from an order I placed after winning a 20% code from one of my many McDonald's meals! I love the Jersey material and silhouette for the playsuit as it's super easy to layer up and also makes a perfect Summer wardrobe piece as it's not too heavy or clingy to the body. Underneath I just added a plain old white t-shirt that I thought was a very 90's style method, the old t-shirt underneath everything technique from dungarees and pinafores to camisoles and other strappy tops. Over the top I threw over my classic ASOS shirt that's been mentioned in quite a few posts recently as it's one of those items that I seriously can't get enough of! It'…

A Lot Of Sweater Love

Image
Who says sweaters aren't fashionable?! I believe you can take the slobbiest, tattiest sweater and with a little magic turn it into a high street wonder! I wanted ultimate comfort and an effortless casual look for my outfit of the day whilst running around like a headless chicken in the retail world, which is why I threw on this super, duper cosy grey sweater from All Saints.  I love the oversized, boxy fit and thought it would work perfectly with my Forever 21 cigarette trousers, especially with the contrasting grey's. I added my Primark chunky black belt to add a little detail to my outfit and then on my feet I wore my white pointed flat shoes, which you may recognize from my Summer posts last year if you've been following my blog for a little while (thank you!). For a little splash of colour I wore Mac's 'Impassioned' on my lips, which I haven't worn in forever and I rediscovered whilst rummaging through that one draw that has every piece of abandoned make up…

Hello All Saints!

Image
I'm currently writing up this blog post whilst bopping my head about to Taylor Swift's 1989 album that I purchased on a spontaneous shopping trip all by myself yesterday and oh my god.. obsessed. I have to admit Taylor Swift is one of my biggest guilty pleasures like.. ever!  Moving on, for this outfit of the day post I'm sporting this rather beautiful, delicate and easily stained blouse from All Saints, my first ever piece from them! So basically, I've just grabbed a job with All Saints and therefore get a rather ridiculously good uniform allowance from them as part of my contract, so there may be a fair few more pieces popping up all over my blog. I try not to be biased with my clothing preferences and I like to photograph outfits that I feel comfortable and confident in, no matter what the branding, so please don't feel my blog will now consist of only All Saints because that is certainly not the case. Just wanted to be honest(: I have stuck to my classic black jea…

Bright & Bold

Image
Let's just talk about the heat wave we experienced over the weekend shall we fellow Brits?! I think I can safely speak for everyone who managed to soak up the sun that we were all a little raw and tender on the arms/shoulders this rather dreary Monday morning. This post was supposed to be written up a few days back as I'm a little layered up for our current weather situation in these photo's. I bought a couple of bodies (sounds so weird) from my local Newlook, which included this bright, bold orange one that I've completely fallen head over heals in love with. I've really been obsessing over statement colour's these past couple of weeks and have therefore began a small collection to keep me going through the Summer in different types of pieces. I wore my Mom jeans from Topshop that are worn with my Primark thick black belt to add a little detailing to my outfit. On my feet are my Primark pool sliders that I know will be worn to death over the next few months, meanin…

Dungaree Season

Image
I have a feeling that my dungaree's are going to be featured a lot through out Spring/Summer as I already have plenty of idea's spilling out of my head for ways to wear them!  For today's look I wore my Monki dungaree's paired up with my Topshop crisp white shirt that I usually wouldn't wear tucked in as it's a little on the long side and you end up with that weird bunched up look on the butt, however I managed to smooth it all down. I really loved the smartness of the shirt contrasting with the laid back look of the dungaree's. On my feet are my leopard print loafers from ASOS that added a tiny touch of print to add a little edge/spice to the overall look and then finally I threw over my faux leather jacket from Forever 21. As I was headed for London I couldn't exactly trust the glimmer of sun in the sky as we all know how easy a sunny day in England can turn into gale force winds and ridiculously heavy rain with the blink of an eye! No wonder we all have …

Bold Colours

Image
Apologies in advance if these bold colours effect your eye sight in anyway at all! I had no idea the photo's would come out so vibrant? Hey ho.. Super chilled, effortless, casual vibes for today's outfit of the day post in the form of my culotte slouchy trousers from Topshop, which I mentioned in a post a few weeks back. They're literally like wearing pyjama bottoms.. no joke! As I wanted to add a dash (when I say a dash I clearly went overboard) of colour to my outfit I decided to pair up the monochrome trousers with my H&M high neck top from their basic range in a gorgeous mustard colour, perfect with black and white.  I then finished my outfit off by throwing over my dark denim shirt from ASOS, that actually looks a little lighter in these photo's than it does in real life. I wasn't sure whether to go for my denim jacket at first but as the weather is becoming a little warmer I thought I could get away with layering up a shirt instead. On my feet are my chunky …
