Let's Do Business

Image
Oh look.. there's that bloody yellow ball again! Told you it'll be making many more appearances on my blog. This look consisted of once again quite smart vibes, at the moment it's a common theme but like I said in my previous posts it's just me experimenting with my look now that I'm not dressing like a 14 year old each day (Wendy). For this look I wore my dark grey cigarette trousers from Forever 21 that fit perfectly in both the casual and formal category. As I'm loving the whole smart look I opted for a white turtle neck top from Newlook to pair up with my trousers for a very clean, quite business woman finish (hence the title of this post!). This wasn't intended but I just really liked the overall look of the turtle neck and cigarette trousers being paired together. It's also not a bad thing if you fancy leaning over to the formal side when dressing day to day as it's always nice to switch up your style and play around with different cuts and silho…

Smart Streak

Image
You may see a reoccurring detail in all of my most recent blog photo's.. yes, the stupid yellow ball. My not so little puppy dog insists that as soon as we're outside with a tripod and camera we should automatically be playing fetch. I literally have the shoo him out of the shot seconds before the timer goes off! It's impossible to play babysitter and shoot blog photo's! So, I've now accepted that the ball will be appearing regularly. I've also opted for a much more formal approach in my outfits, not too sure why but maybe now that I'm not living out of a suitcase I finally can experiment with all those different styles whether they be casual or smart looking! For today's look I went for a pretty smart look (I also had an interview, which I had to dress to impress for) with my mustard cigarette trousers from ASOS, complete with a Primark belt. I then discovered my Zara cream jumper at the back of my wardrobe, which I was obsessed with for so long that went…

Bright Whites

Image
These photo's weren't supposed to turn out so bright but I guess I'll have to work with what I've got! You may need a pair of sunglasses or somehow to turn down your screen brightness in order to actually see past the blinding white. I've recently been mixing up my knitwear with shirts but in a topsy-turvy way, with the knitwear being underneath the shirt. I found this beige coloured knitted piece from H&M whilst in Scotland for rehearsals and seeing as it's a loose looped fabric with no sleeves, it's perfect for the whole layering trick, whether that may be on top or underneath! Over the top is my oversized white cotton shirt from Topshop that I just love. It's boxy, casual and super soft for everyday wear.  I've found a whole new level of obsession for wet look leggings, which I didn't think was possible until I started wearing my Boohoo one's again. When I can't be bothered to even think about wearing jeans all day I turn to my trust…

Forgotten Gems

Image
As I've almost been back for a week after touring I'm now slowing discovering the luxury of having an almighty big wardrobe with so many forgotten gems.  It sounds weird but it's almost like I'm falling in love with my clothes all over again as I've forgotten most of the ones I own until I dig them out from right at the back and I am now able to experiment with pairing things together, rather than being stuck with the same purple uniform with jeans or the Wendy dress! I rediscovered and rekindled my love of faux leather in the form of my Primark a-line skirt, which I don't tend to wear as I'm not too keen on showing the legs off, hence why I wore a pair of the super cosy Primark tights in black. I then have my Topshop turtle neck striped jumper, which is a lovely thick stretchy material that isn't clingy or itchy but rather flattering, especially with the stripes. Over the top of that is my denim jacket with fleece lining, again Topshop and accessorized wit…

Preppy

Image
I decided to name this outfit of the day post as 'Preppy' merely because of the white turtle neck underneath a scoop neck jumper. I also thought it looked overall quite a smart/clean cut look, which was unintentional to begin with as I only threw on the jumper once I realized how chilly I was when meeting some friends in town. Luckily I had a box of knitwear still in my house (I'm staying at my Mum's) so I was able to rummage and find something whilst out and about.. Anyway, story over! I wore a white turtle neck top from Newlook underneath my Forever 21 chiffon panel jumper, both of which were purchased a while back. As I'm currently running on barely no funds most of my wardrobe is now whatever I can find at my Mum's, so hold tight if you've seen most of these items before! I then wore my black Topshop Jamie jeans, which annoyingly are too big for me around the waist as all that jumping about on the Panto tour has caused me to drop a bit of weight (yay!). My …

Rusty Jumper

Image
This is my very last outfit of the day post that I can upload whilst touring as I've officially ran my memory card dry from photos! But I shall be back home next week with a fresh batch to get uploaded to my blog. For this attire I wore pretty much a big old chunk of Topshop in the form of this thick knitted rust jumper that has been keeping me super cosy and snug whilst touring in the colder parts of the UK. Topshop did sell a couple of other colours of this jumper including a cream one but I thought a rusty colour is pretty timeless for all year round? Plus, I have way too many cream jumpers lurking in my wardrobe. I also wore my Topshop formal joggers that I've worn plenty of times before in previous blog posts. This added a real laid back/casual appeal to my outfit yet not looking scruffy.. I hope! Finally, I have my Converse on my feet, my Forever 21 faux leather jacket and a Newlook scarf that was bought when I was around 14 from the sale. I noticed that this brown/cream pa…
